Rev. Dr. Chidi Okoroafor, President of Central Africa Assemblies Of Alliance and General Superintendent of Assemblies of God Nigeria on Friday in Far away United States of America received an International Distinguished Leadership Award
The Award is for outstanding spiritual leadership, humanitarian services, economic development, advocacy and ministry initiatives that fosters hope, healing and transformation in Nigeria, Continental Africa, Europe, Asia, the United States and around the globe.
The award was presented to him on Friday December 14th 2018 at the United States Senate by Rev. Dr. Barry Black-Chaplain of the United States Senate and Rev. Dr. Agorom Dike-President and Founder of the Caribbean and African Faithbased Leadership Conference based in the USA.
The White House Faithbased and Opportunity Initiatives Centers including: the US Department of State Office of Religious and Global Affairs, Office of Global Justice, Civilian Security and Human Rights, the US Department of Homeland Security/ FEMA and the USAID Office of Global Health and Faithbased Opportunities also hosted Dr. Chidi and Rev Mrs. Stella Chidi Okoroafor, Rev. John and Mrs. Bright Okorie-Lagos Mainland District Superintendent of Assemblies Of God and other members of the delegation at several high level strategic meetings.
The meetings were held with the Directors and Senior Advisors of bilateral agencies within the US government to explore opportunities for mission partnerships toward the structural advancement of helping African nations to address global health, refugees, education. civil crises and holistic approaches to human empowerment.
The United States government Faithbased Cabinet Leaders also complimented Dr. Okorafor for his remarkable achievements and expressed a keen interest in partnering with the Assemblies of God Nigeria on various initiatives.
The Award Ceremony was held at the United States Congress that began with a spirit filled message from Chaplain Dr. Barry Black on the impact of Dr. Okorafor as the Servant of God who has been raised up to serve Africa and the world at such a time as this.
The Chaplain also laid hands on Dr. Chidi Okoroafor and pray for God to continue to use him and equip him to serve the nations.
He also expressed an interest to visit Nigeria. Dr. Okoroafor is the first clergy from Nigerian and Africa to receive such recognitions at both the United States Senate and the US Department of State simultaneously.
The event was organized by the Caribbean and African Faithbased Leadership Conference.
