The Federal High Court in Lagos has failed to deliver judgment in the N300m Fundamental Rights Enforcement Suit brought by a suspected kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, also known as Evans, against the Nigerian Police Force.
This follows the claim by the police that the Inspector General of Police and the Nigerian Police Force had not been party to the proceedings and the court could not go ahead with judgment without hearing from both parties.
The presiding judge, Justice Abdulaziz Anka has adjourned the case till September 5, 2017.
The Federal High Court in Lagos had fixed August 29 to deliver judgment in the Fundamental Rights Enforcement Suit filed by Evans.
This was after dismissing all the objections to the hearing of the suit.
After the ruling, the court heard the application proper and fixed the judgment date.
