The Supreme Court will Tomorrow Tuesday 29th November 2016 hear the Appeal Filed by a Former General Superintendent of Assemblies Of God Nigeria Rev Paul Emeka against a unanimous Judgement of a three Member Court Of Appeal Justices which in 2015 Upheld his Suspension and Dismissal.
Paul Emeka was Suspended as a Member of Assemblies Of God Nigeria and Dismissed as a Minister on the 6th of March 2014 ,for violating several sections of the Church Constitution especially the Chapter that prohibited any member taken the Church or any of its Officers to Court.
Paul Emeka before the General Commitee Meeting of March 6th 2016 had sought an Order of Injunction Restraining the meeting from holding at the Federal High Court in Enugu.
His action was not in tandem with the dictate of a Leader, prompting some Members of the Commitee to move for his Suspension which has been the culture of Discipline by the Church.
Some months after his Suspension in 2014,Rev Paul Emeka recruited Cultists to Fight the Leadership of the Church including forcefully taken Over the National Headquarters of the Church located at Independent Layout Enugu Nigeria.
Justice Anthony Onovo of the Federal High Court in his Judgement said Rev Paul Emeka was not given fair Hearing, but Justice Emmanuel Agim of the Court Of Appeal in Enugu ruled that Rev Paul Emeka should even be grateful to the Church for electing him their Leader, and since the same people who elected him had said they no longer need him, then he should honorably respect the decision of the Church.
Rev Paul Emeka was not satisfied with that Ruling, prompting him to Appeal It at the Supreme Court in 2015.
There are strong Indications that the Supreme Court may deliver its Judgement Tommorow in the Crises that has rocked the Church since 2014
