The Vice-president-elect, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has said that he felt disappointed when he was taken up by some critics who believed as a pastor, he should not have accepted to be the running mate to a Muslim.

Osinbajo made this known while speaking exclusively to Sunday Sun, during the April Holy Ghost Service of the Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG), which was held yesterday at the Redemption Camp, with the theme: “Touch Me, Oh Lord.”

On their arrival, Osinbajo and his wife, Dolapo Osinbajo, who are ministers in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, were received warmly by the General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye and his wife, Pastor (Mrs.) Folu Adeboye, before being ushered to their seats, acknowledging cheers from other ministers.

During the anointing service, many of the pastors on the altar thronged the front row to congratulate Osinbajo on his recent victory at the polls. As the service came to an end, with the pastors and special guests filing down from the altar, the Vice-president-elect, and his wife were followed by well–wishers.

Speaking briefly to Sunday Sun on how he felt when he was castigated by many for vying for a public office as a pastor, Osinbajo simply said: “Yes, I was down because I knew they were wrong about what they were saying.”

Also speaking to Sunday Sun, the Regional Evangelist of the church, Pastor J.T. Kalejaiye, expressed satisfaction that Osinbajo would deliver maximally to Nigerians. His words: “I know him very well and I can say Osinbajo is a very great man and he will surely deliver. I know that for sure.”
